The 150 MVA transformer is ready for the impulse closing test. The protection settings are verified, the oil test results are within spec, and the gas relay is vented. Before we energize, let's do the final pre-energization checklist. Confirm all safety measures.

Checklist confirmed: all temporary grounds removed, all bushings cleaned, cooling system operational — oil pumps and fans running. The nitrogen-filled conservator is at correct pressure. Fire protection system is armed. Warning signs posted. Exclusion zone marked — 20-meter radius cleared during the first energization. All personnel accounted for and briefed. The 220 kV breaker is open and the disconnector is ready. We're clear to proceed with the five-shot impulse test.

Proceed with first impulse. Close the 220 kV breaker. Monitor the inrush current on the protection relay — maximum expected is 8 times the rated current for about 0.1 seconds. Leave the transformer energized for 10 minutes, then trip. Listen for any abnormal sounds during the energized period — arcing, buzzing, mechanical vibration. After trip, check the gas relay for any gas accumulation. Ready. Close now.

First impulse successful. Inrush current peaked at 5.2 times rated — below the 8x maximum. No abnormal sounds. Gas relay is clear — zero gas. Four more impulses to go. After the fifth impulse, we keep the transformer continuously energized and begin the 72-hour trial operation.

Clearance granted for line parameter testing. Ensure both ends of the line are isolated and grounded before connecting the test supply. Confirm that the opposite end is grounded through a visible earth switch. What parameters are you measuring?

We're measuring: positive sequence impedance Z1, zero sequence impedance Z0, positive sequence capacitance C1, zero sequence capacitance C0, and the mutual coupling impedance with the parallel circuit on the same tower for 15 km. After the parameter test, we'll compare the measured values with the design calculations used for the protection settings. If the deviation is more than 5%, we need to recalculate the protection settings. From our preliminary check, the mutual coupling on the double-circuit section is higher than the design assumed — we may need to adjust the Zone 1 reach on the distance protection to avoid overreach.

Noted. After the parameter test and any necessary setting adjustments, we'll issue the energization order. The system energization will be done from our end — we energize the line at 220 kV with the remote end open. You'll do the phasing check at the solar farm end to confirm correct phase rotation before closing the breaker there. The synchronization is manual — we don't have auto-synch on this line. I want your best commissioning engineer on that synchroscope.
