Precast Concrete Installation — 25-Story Residential Tower
Li Qiang, we're installing Level 8 today — precast concrete shear walls and composite slabs. Each wall panel is 2.8m high, 3.6m wide, 200mm thick, weight approximately 5 tons. The connection between wall panels uses grouted sleeve connectors. The rebar from the lower panel protrudes 200mm and inserts into the sleeves cast in the upper panel. Then we inject high-strength, non-shrink grout under pressure to fill the annular space. This connection is the structural backbone — if the grouting fails, the wall panels are not structurally continuous.

Injection pressure 0.8-1.0 MPa from the bottom port. We inject until grout flows cleanly from the top outlet port of each sleeve. Every sleeve must be verified — if the top port doesn't flow, the sleeve is not full. We're grouting panel PW-8A first — it has 12 sleeves, six on each vertical edge.

Wet Area Ponding Test — Pre-Handover Inspection
Ahmed, this is the pre-handover wet area inspection. Every bathroom and kitchen in all 200 apartments must pass a 24-hour ponding test. The procedure: plug the floor drain, fill the room with water to a depth of 30-50mm, mark the water level, and check after 24 hours. Any drop in water level or any sign of moisture on the ceiling of the unit below is a fail. Let's start with Unit 1205 — the master bathroom.
