Aconex requires custom API development. Custom solution has the most flexibility but also the highest integration effort. On learning curve: Procore is the most intuitive for construction professionals — our pilot team was productive in 3 days. Aconex took about 2 weeks. Custom would require ongoing training.

I recommend a hybrid approach. Use Procore as the field execution platform — it's strong on quality, safety, and daily progress. Use the custom Power Platform for document control and compliance workflows where data sovereignty matters. Connect them through the SAP middleware for financials and procurement. Total cost estimate: USD 280,000 setup plus USD 95,000 annual license. This gives us compliance, usability, and integration — the best of all three.

They need to sync in the morning when they have WiFi at the site office, work offline during the day, and sync again when they return.
